Glyndwr was reported missing in action within days of arriving in Gallipoli
Colleagues confirmed that they had seen Glyndwr dead during a charge on Hill 60.  Sergeant Sewell reported that a Lieutenant Roberts removed Glyndwr's disc

Two of Glyndwr’s brothers also died in WW1; Alfred Harper WHALAN died 03 September 1916 & Richard Percy WHALAN died 18 September 1918
